The message somehow ends up showing up in a bottle washed up against the shore actually. Which is a pretty weird way to deliver a message but of course, it's thematic. Naturally, it'll only show up when nobody else is around. When walking along the beach, Battler, Fie, Raven, Serph, and Vriska will find that bottle right there, waiting for them. The message Battler, Fie, Raven, Serph, and Vriska receives is short and simple: Need you for something. Come see me this evening. You'll know where to go. - Hal P.S. Put the note back in the bottle. Throw it back. I'll know if you don't. And that's it. Of course, if they choose to listen to their messages, they'll find a mysterious path in the jungle. They'll find the path as if guided to it, even though it won't be there if they try to show it to someone else later. And at the end of the path, they'll find a small hut, tucked against the jungle backdrop and the two Chiefs standing in front of it. Hal greets them with a flat look and a greeting: Sirens. And then he holds out five small notebooks, weather-worn and a little salty. Looks like they've been chosen for one of those roles that were mentioned. Good luck.

This is about who we want to trust, not protect, but... I want to tell Bellamy. I wouldn't tell him who's involved other than me, and he won't tell anyone about the group if I ask him not to. He could give me an alibi any time I needed one, though.

... We don't know what the other roles are yet, or who's been ordered to work against us. How much do you trust him?

It's still risky. But if your life is the only one you're risking, then that's fine with me.

[ which sounds heartless, maybe, but if Raven believes in Bellamy that much, Fie isn't going to take away a pillar of support for her. ]

[She nods, and it's clear she seems grateful.]

I'd even tell him I can't say whether there's anyone else involved, if it makes you feel any better.

Yeah. That's probably for the best.

[ She's got to work on her trust issues, okay. ]

[She nods. She'd feel the same way if someone else wanted to tell a person she'd barely met; she knows Fie (or any of the group, really) doesn't have the same reasons to trust Bellamy that she does.]

Hiro and Newt? Look, I like Newt, but they are both pretty useless, if you ask me. You got a good argument for them?

... and you know how I feel about Bellamy, so whatever on that point!

They both know their shit. There's not much tech on this island, but science could still wind up being important for our survival as a group.

[She frowns, though.]

I'll give you that neither of them are essential as long as I'm here, though. If I had to pick... Hiro'd be higher on the list.

Hiro is annoying, but I don't really care either way. We can leave them both off the list for now, and just add them back in a couple of weeks if we need new targets!
