The message somehow ends up showing up in a bottle washed up against the shore actually. Which is a pretty weird way to deliver a message but of course, it's thematic. Naturally, it'll only show up when nobody else is around. When walking along the beach, Prussia will find that bottle right there, waiting for them.
The message Prussia receives is short and simple:
Need you for something. Come see me this evening. You'll know where to go.
- Hal
P.S. Put the note back in the bottle. Throw it back. I'll know if you don't.
And that's it. Of course, if they choose to listen to their message, they'll find a mysterious path in the jungle. They'll find the path as if guided to it, even though it won't be there if they try to show it to someone else later. And at the end of the path, they'll find a small hut, tucked against the jungle backdrop and the two Chiefs standing in front of it. Hal greets them with a flat look and a greeting:
Waylayer.
And then he holds out a small notebook, weather-worn and a little salty. Looks like they've been chosen for one of those roles that were mentioned. Good luck.
Says the rules that I have to follow. I got my own too, kiddo! Someone built me, wrote me my rules, and sent me on my way. Now I'm here, unable to do something like this for you. Crazy how the world works, eh?
Why don't you just reprogram yourself? Or get that guy, [she jabs a thumb at Pal,] to do it for you? I don't know shit about robotics, but I could mess around in there and see what's up.
[:) She's Helping.]
But fine, if you really can't do it, just make sure it gets updated for me.
So anyway, about taking out the Sirens. That's how you imagined my role goin', huh? Like a vengeful sword just whoosh crash take them out? Would you give me any presents to do it? Like.... another sword or something if I told you I was gonna take out someone I thought was a Siren? Or someone I just wanted to kill for lookin' at me funny?
Hahaha, you make it sound like I'm not happy with myself. I love every bit of me! Wouldn't change a thing.
[ :) Thanks for the offer. ]
Anyway, nah. The Sirens are out to get the Wickies. The Wickies are out to get the Sirens. The Waylayer is supposed to waylay their plans. You talk to people, get the read of the room, figure out what bonds you need to break and what bonds you need to protect. If you wanna side with someone, sure. Go for it. But still kinda funny since you're a neutral party.
You brought the wrong country for that, kid. Should've kidnapped Switzerland. I've never been neutral on anything in my awesome life.
[She flaps a hand.]
So here's another technical question for you. I reassign Zuko, hope the Sirens don't figure I'll leave him alone, try to kill him, then we get three people dead, whatever. Let's assume Zuko gets to live through the week along with his partners. Come Sunday night, can I assign someone else to him, or is his shot all used up? So we can avoid any more interruptions in all your fun executions.
[ He looks delighted, which seems like this is why he picked you, Prussia. ]
You reassign Zuko this week, person who dies is Zuko Thursday night and Katara Sunday. That's the logic. Only two people to a team so Inuyasha just gains the partnerless spot Zuko already has.
[ But! ]
Next week it's a clean slate. Inuyasha is back to Katara. Zuko is back to being partnerless. No teams are broken. Then you come to me, tell me what you want this week. Pretty simple stuff.
[She doesn't like it, but it follows logic even she can understand.]
Zuko's gotta be on his own then this week. Can't risk somebody else getting killed 'cause the Sirens wanna avoid killing a lot of people. Nice bunch you must've picked there. Just as suited as my awesome self, huh?
I'm still gonna break Magilou and Lucina, though. Just in case.

Can't actually write 'em in front of you. I can update your rules but this ain't a thing I can do in front of a player.
[ He shrugs. ]

Haha, just a bit. I like 'em, at least.
[ But okay, cool. ]
That's probably a smart choice, heh. Done and done! Anything else?

[So, no, nothing else.]

I'm giving you, personally, five bars of soap and three bottles of Meschkinnes. No one knows you have it so it's yours to do as you wish.
[ A jerk of his chin towards a small crate that's suddenly nearby. Hey, when did that get there? ]

[She actually looks like she might cry?? It doesn't take much, but German liquor is the way to do it.]
I'll leave the soap in the outhouse for everybody, though. I still got some of the cute fingerpaint soap.

Please don't, you'll ruin my reputation.
[ Look, sometimes robot logic just dictates that there's no real reason not to give Prussia Prussian booze when he knows she'll like it?? Come on. ]
Good to know. Enjoy your evening!
